On Monday, December 28, 2009 at approximately 1:42 pm the Granite Falls Police responded to the Granite Gun & Pawn located at 90 S. Main Street in Granite Falls in reference to a robbery / homicide of Tony Lee Myers. Myers was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound and numerous items were taken from the pawn business. Witnesses described the above-mentioned person as someone inside the pawn business around the time of the homicide that had a possible speech impediment.

Wanted for Bank Robbery
On Thursday, January 27, 2011, at approximately 5:03pm a white male, medium height, medium build, wearing
blue jeans, black coat, a brownish colored toboggan with a design around top,
and sun glasses entered Parkway Bank in Granite Falls and handed the teller a
demand note stating he had a gun. The suspect male displayed the gun to the teller.
The teller followed the suspect’s instructions and he left with an undisclosed
amount of money. The suspect vehicle has been described as a silver Pontiac
four door, early 2000 model. Anyone with information should contact the Granite
