The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for both reactive and proactive investigations of criminal activity affecting our citizens and visitors to our town.  The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for the investigation of major felony offenses, selected misdemeanors, missing persons, death investigations, and processing of crime scenes and evidence.  The Criminal Investigations Division works special assignments for the Chief of Police, to include background investigations on potential employees, and professional standards investigations. The Criminal Investigations Division works closely with the surrounding agencies in Caldwell, Catawba, Alexander and Burke Counties.
